Kokrajhar is the nearest of the four towns to Bilasipara and lies along the same NH-17 corridor, in the Bodoland Territorial Region rather than Dhubri district. Bilasipara itself straddles the boundary — part of the town falls under the Bilasipara (BTC) tehsil in Kokrajhar district.
